CR82 crates for fight dogs

Dear dog lovers,    Pinda, my dog, and I are planning to have Christmas holiday abroad.    We've booked the flights already and, because of my ignorance, I only now realized that she is considered to be a fight dog (Dogo Argentina x American Bulldog). Thus, she needs to have a special crate to be able to travel with me.    I have been looking for this sort of kennel but they only produce them in The Netherlands on special inquiries and it costs tons of money.    Has anyone had a similar experience with traveling? Would you happen to know where to get the kennel? Ideally, would someone know where to rent one for the trip?   To order it (possible only from the US) or have it custom made costs around 600e.    I would appreciate any advise.    Thank you so  much in advance and I look forward to hearing from my fellow dog lovers.    Yours,  Elina

Dear Elina,

From where tot where are you travelling?

I believe there is a special agency in Holland that arranges animals travels.

Something like this perhaps can help you further :

Good luck,   Jantien

Dear Jantien,

Thanks for your reaction. Yes, I have also contacted the agency and they informed me about the possibility to producing such crate. To be frank, I was looking for possible cheaper alternatives as the flights are already very expensive. Good lesson for me!

Previously we have travelled by car, this would have been the first time we are flying. Still hope we will figure out something.

Thanks again,
Elina

I don't know if you need a 'super special' crate for your dog, or if the above is sufficient.

If you know the size you need, maybe someone can lend you one, or you might try to buy one second hand,

for instance on www.marktplaats.nl

the Dutch word is 'vliegtuigbench'.

Thanks, Jantien!

This is the 'normal' kennel and we have one of these. According to the rules, it must be something like the one below (steel). Seems a bit absurd at this point but that is the same crate used to transport lions and bears, for instance.

Thanks,

Elina

Oh, dear, that looks different.

I hope you will succeed in finding one.

Is your dog used to a bench, if not that will also be a problem...

Good luck, I am afraid I can't help..

That is so stupid, like of your dog would escape from a normal sky kennel crate in hard plastic

Anyway rule is rule. You have three solutions, leave your dog behind in a dogpension ore buy yourself such an iron crate. Or cancel your flight.

Such a waste of money......I feel very sorry for you.

Perhaps inform with ACE Charity belgium or Netherlands.....if they can lease or help ? Although they only have  plastic crates I think.
